With a grant from LCCF, Potlatch Elementary School STEAM Program was able to purchase papermaking equipment including: a paper press, tubs, pour molds of various sizes, blenders, and the misc pieces that are required to make paper: sponges, felt pads, collection containers, clothesline and  pins, etc. Each classroom (K-6) has now experienced making paper out of waste paper; by the end of the school year each student made paper. The use of waste paper has reduced classroom trash load, as well as reducing tash load in the teacher’s lounge and front office.
